FISHING REPORT(west Coast)
Hello, I have not been fishing in a while. That's why there are no new pictures on the page. I will say that the weather is now starting to break. I'm hoping that the current weather pattern will hold. I'am planning to fish Whitney next weekend, and with the warmer temps. I'm hoping the fishing will be good. The guys at Bob's Fishing Tackle (562-863-6833) in Norwalk, CA, are reporting that the West Coast scene is still dead. Although BOB's is report that some of the guys making it San Clemente Island are getting some good Yellowtail fishing. Not much for size but good 8 - 15 lb fish, I'll take it. The Rockfish fishing has been pretty much closed due to regulations. BOB's will have the lastest info on the west coast scene. BOB's has a big selection of PRO GEAR fishing reels and GLOOMIS fishing rods. BOB's is a great place for you tournament fishing guys to check in with, if you are looking for and edge. Good Luck and Fish on.
FISHING REPORT(The Gulf of Mexico)
Well guys, The lastest from Captain Kelly's Deep Sea Headquarters in Port Aransas, is that the boats are loading up with TUNA. TUNA. TUNA. Word on the street is tuna are all over the place, BlackFin and YellowFin. Tuna(YellowFin) are getting up to 150 pounds. I talked to one of the capt. at Dolphin Docks, they are reporting Wahoo, Amberjacks and big Tuna on their longer trips. The boats in Port Aransas are still getting some shark, with Atlantic Sharpnose and Black Tip Shark being the main stay. They are also still reporting Vermillion Snapper in the catches. How about that for mixing up the pot. Captain Kelly's is still running the 12 trips on Wedensday, and 10 hour trips on Monday and Thursday, and the 8 hour trips run daily pending wheather. Captain Kelly's Deep Sea Headquarters (800-705-3474) in Port Aransas, TX. Updated 02-19-2000
